All iPhones from the
iPhone XS and XR onwards, including all iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and the
latest 16 models, are compatible with eSIM. The iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation) also
supports it. The first
iPhones to support eSIM were the iPhone XS, XS Max, and XR, released in 2018.

iPhones sold in
mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau do not have eSIM capability.
Some US models of
the iPhone 14 and newer no longer have a physical SIM card tray and can only
use eSIM.
